Buying a Laptop Help Reqd

What’s the minimum you need for just using a laptop for route planning with the various programs.
Don’t want to spend hundreds on something new that a refurbished one would do

there's a cheaper Lenovo at John Lewis that my sister bought recently. Slightly lower spec than the one I have been using for 2 years
