Now the bike is well run in, I am getting a buzz through the bars at 70 / 80mph which turns both my hands numb in no more than 5 mins. Do others find the same thing? Or is something out of adjustment?

If it was an 1150 (or an 1100 for that matter), I'd suggest you need to balance your throttle bodies. No reason to think the symptoms wouldn't be the same on a 1200...

Mike:)

I'd agree, balance the throttle bodies at about 5000 rpm.

This means, attach a manometer or vacuum gauge to the throttle bodies, and adjust the throttle cable so that the vacuum is equal on both sides, with the engine running at about 5000 rpm.

I believe that there's no point trying to balance at idle on the 1200, as the bike adjusts the balance automatically with the stepper motors.

I need to do this again to my bike too, I'm getting the "buzz" :)

have you looked for wasps or bees or summat like that? Could be a nest after the winter?

I had the same thing just after getting the first service. Turned out the Tech hadn't,t set the valve clearances properly. Huge difference after it was fixed.

I then bought a vacuum gauge to check the balance myself. Havn't had a problem since.
