bwm 1150 calapers

a mate has just been told that he needs to replace the front callerpers on his 1150 adv as road salt has attacked with gusto
is there an alternative to the bmw calapers for the 1150 adv?
it is a non abs.

ISTR that BMW calipers are actually Brembo calipers with "BMW" on them instead of "Brembo".

They all used to say Brembo - only changed a year or two back.
Had my front pads out to clean up and noticed they also say Brembo but have a BMW logo on them.

The BMW branded calipers go with the dark blue fork sliders & the Brembo branded calipers go with the lighter blue fork sliders. The mounting holes are different so you can't swap them around. They shouldn;t cost too much from a breakers, though. Try Motorworks or Sherlocks......
