In the process of fitting my Denali lights to my 2019 R1250RT.
Question: do I need to remove the fuel tank to run the cables from front to back ? Or do I simple tie them to what bits of the frame that I can see ?

If you remove both side panels there are better options to run cables ,there are videos on youtube of how to take them off takes roughly 10 minutes to remove them ,look up fitting crash bars on youtube to see video

When I fitted mine, I just removed the side fairing and some of the screws from the inner panel and ran them down the right side. I did use one extension cable from the left light, which gave more spare cable. I mounted my cansmart in the tail, so cables had to get to there. I also used the under the mirror mounts

Thanks guys, yes all done now without removing the tank. I think I could have done a neater cabling job with the tank off but no need for that now. I think the Denali light brackets for the RT below the mirrors are really good.

I've installed these on my '18 R1250RT and I'll admit they are expensive for what are really just two bits of painted & bent metal, they look as OEM as you're going to get and I two years later I don't regret a penny of the money spent.
