Cafe info

I am organising a ride for the chaps at my work and we are going to have a run down to the Humber Bridge via Selby, Scunthorpe.

Looking for a cafe near the Bridge for food - used the one in the viewing area car park before but was not inmpressed.

Any one know of a good cafe that can accomdate between 6 & 25 bikers with a view of the bridge on a Sunday?

Now then..I live not far from the bridge and off the top of my head..I think thats a bit of a tall order, theres a few cafes in Barton but there not open on a Sunday...I'm almost sure of that and none have a veiw of the bridge..theres a pub en-route from Scunny I think its the Ferry boat at South Ferriby its just past the lock gates on the left, thats got good veiws of the river and bridge, well it should have its on the river bank...its been some time since I've been, but they used to host bike nights here so parking and Bikes arnt a problem...other wise its cross the bridge and you could try the pub on the foreshore just under the bridge..they do meals but can get busy on Sundays....hope this helps in any way....

Thats great info thanks will have to do some more research will try and look up info for the pub at South Ferriby.

Have noticed the pub under the bridge but dont know the name - you dont know by chance? Did find a Harvesterd near by as a stop gap .

After a bit of searching have found this place on at Barton On Humber on the shore side - phoned them and they are happy and have a good looking menu at the cafe.

Will just reverse my route and come from Hull over the bridge to hear then go back via Crowl Goole etc.

Reminds me must have a run to the Humber Bridge and get some more night shots, been a few years since I last had a go...
