Used to go to a great little cafe / tea room in Braemar just up the road from the hotel. Gordon’s I think it’s called. Stopped many a time. Great bacon roll 
The Coo Shed is decent, can get very busy. Will be just off your route coming from Loch Ken just before Ayr Hospital

A bit more than a coffee stop maybe? For those who want a couple of days in the Scottish Borders, I'd recommend The Horseshoe Inn in Eddleston. Her nibs and I dropped in yesterday for a meal which was excellent and very good service too. Until then, I'd no idea that the place also did rooms. Eddleston is ideally situated for runs up to the capital and east and west along the Tweed valley.

Fellow biker and member opening a place. This is cause for a visit in itself
Visited the Cream Puff Cafe in Denholm last week. Good coffee, cracking filled rolls and the usual tray bakes. They'd have to have good food to attract hairy arsed bikers to a caff with that name! 
Apologies if already mentioned - the Glen Cafe on the A708 is a good destination / ride.
Please keep us all posted on here. I’d plan a trip to visit for a lunch.

Some updated Isle of Skye options for you, personally sampled for accuracy on a regular basis:
Cafe 1925 in Ardvasar. Small but excellent, with good breakfasts, cakes, etc all home made.
The Coffee Bothy in Broadford. Super atmosphere, very quirky, everything tasty.
Cafe Arriba in Portree. Excellent nosh, service can be a bit sluggish but food makes up for it.
Bog Myrtle in Struan. Doesn’t look much from the outside, but surprisingly brilliant inside.
Cafe Cuil near Carbost. All very good indeed.
As usual in Skye, check the opening times as these places often close for a couple of days during the week.

Had a nice run out on RT with my mate today and stopped in Aberfeldy at Fika cafe in the town centre, really good food and nice waitress
Many years ago stopped for lunch at the Cowshed, just north of Banchory. It was rammed so we couldnt get a table but were able to get a take away and sit outside on their benches. Pie and Chips and the Pies were amazing.
