One of the best breakfast dishes I have had is in Morrison’s. Plenty in the NW with a cafeteria.
I use my quart Thermos mug to fill up on coffee.

It's a while since I've been to Bill Smiths, Chester.
A pleasant surprise was the burger van (Fanny's) selling halloumi fries. Just wow.
The bloke said he took over the van last July and it's much better than it was before.
Not sure if that's his name though.

Can someone turn the halloumi pic the right way up please.

http://www.goatgapcafe.co.uk/ - formerly a Little Thief but now independently owned and serves local produce. Everyone in my group of 10 seemed happy with what was ordered and it arrived pretty quickly. It had been chosen as a lunchtime rendezvous point if people got split up so we had phoned ahead with numbers and they had set up a table

Google maps is odd, some pins only appear on the map when you zoom in or out on a particular area or select one from the drop down list. The Welsh one currently appear / disappear when you zomm in and out.

Just added The Gather café in Ennerdale, https://thegatherennerdale.com/ went here a few years back good food just a bit off the well beaten track.

Changed since I was last there 10 years back lots of bikers in and treated like everyone else and the food was good.

Lots of cafes have a golden spell then go down hill, usually when a key member of staff leaves or are taken over by a global corporate group.

Called in at Wildings Tea Rooms in Pateley Bridge, found good food and surroundings and good friendly to bikers staff!
