That is very very nice :clap:clap

Absolute cracker:clap :clap :clap

Thanks both, I'm a very happy boy.

Sockpuppet, excellent choice of bike.... looks MINT. Health to enjoy!

ps, it would really suit a set of mint BMW side panniers for your upcoming trip.... I may be prepared to swap mine for those awful looking Jesses :augie

On a serious note, if you prefer the BMW stuff, give me a shout.

:aidan

I'll give you first refusal if they go. Thinking maybe some vern or civil panniers.

You bloody vulture Stevie, the engines hardly cooled in the garage and your picking the bones!!!!!!:drool

You don't ask you don't get :D

Jesses can be broken into apparently with no tools.. they are not very secure as panniers go

 Further reading may be required!

Though I suspect they may not make the trip - I need something with tie down loops on the top etc. I could modify them easily though I'd prefer a flatter top to have a roll bag strapped to for my m/c clothing when not riding. If going to that much trouble it'd probably be easier to just sell them and spec some new. Not sure it'd be cheapest though!

Sweet. I was going for some TT Zegas but I hear the 2009 offer is a camera crew complete with talking Russ doll. :augie

Oh YES!

And Ewan's wife is gonna turn up on a bike to remind everyone that they aren't really crap at motorcycling. She is!

Well we shall see, we shall see and how embarassing the results could be in a years time when I post the copy of this thread I've just saved. :augie:rob

should we write a book? Geezers in the Gambia? Kilts in the Sahara? :augie

And in the meantime his mum could come and serve us a coke or two.

Just been watching the Race to Dakar, which for some reason I hadn't seen before. F-ing hell, what a big time Tw@t that Russ person is, can he nae shut the feck up from time to time and stop the big whinge?

Hello John and welcome aboard, I also havent been to any events as yet and not met anyone who is going on trip, but im sure after a few beers we"ll all be bestest mates.

Room for another!

Bloody hell, finally looks like the old bike is going to get some dirt under her wheels:eek:!

HRH has graciously allowed another southerner to joining the weight loss programme...sorry trip to Gambia...and I am sooo excited:bounce1:clap. Could not sleep last night just thinking about the trip and all the kit I can buy with a legitimate excuse to the good lady wife.

Now just need a Mars bar, some clingfilm, a shed and the Touratech catalogue.

Look forward to meeting you all and hope to make the August jolly in Skye.

Tried to get a back order from their website, they don't make it easy on themselves so gave up on that one.

Calum's Road Gambia was also featured in the Hootsman over here:

http://news.scotsman.com/scotland/Crofter-who-built-own-road.4249742.jp

and I believe the Herald too.

I'll see if I can get the local rag interested in carrrying an article, although I do lack the notoriety of HRH down these parts :D
