Anybody done this? Is it for hardcore off-roaders or can off-road numpties like myself partake? Any help/advice appreciated; I'll be on my newly acquired DRZ400E.
Perfect event and bike for the Cambrian...And there's no such as an offroad numpty your looking to have a go and the UK rally scene is a great way to start and I can guarantee you'll be hooked after the first one
Get your entry in early as it a popular event and hook up with us guys on the day there will be loads of the guys ands gals off the site doing this one![]()
as long as it's better than the complete abortion that was the Dyfi Rally(which was actually a time card enduro) last weekend. Hopefully my leg will be fixed for the Cambrian, but not banking on it.

'scuse my ignorance folks, but I had a quick look at the Cambrian rally website and it doesn't really tell you much about the event.
Is it off road orienteering (no gps) or timed off road riding via checkpoints and mapreading or a marked course or something completely different?
Can anyone shed some light?

Mike.

Of course, some of us do take it deadly serious when the lights go green.

Its a marked course (gayglo arrows usually) consisting of gravel forestry roads, some single track tarmac, and off road sections. None of it is overly technical, but a relaxed day's trail riding with a couple of timed "stages" to determine the results. An ideal introduction to off road competitions for novices, friendly atmosphere, loads of advice and assistance available from the majority of the entry.
