Camcorder mounting

Afternoon all,

I have a '99 R1150GS and a Canon MD216 camcorder. I'm off on a trip to the Russian Federation in July and would like to be able to take some "on the road" footage.

Can anyone advise on the best way of mounting the camera and on the best way of protecting the lens from the inevitable grit, stones etc.

I've done videos using a Motrax mount (below) that turned out really well. You'll need to ensure that you use something to record that will cope with the vibes as most HDD recorders will just shut down/break/run away crying for their mummy...
