A question for anyone that can answer. 2006 1200GSA.
I've just bought a Panasonic SDR-SW20 camcorder for occasional use on the bike, my question is can it be powered from the bike?
Even though it says the battery will last 1.5hrs, I've only managed 25 mins before the battery went flat.
Extra batteries are an option, but then if your on a touring holiday power has to be found for rechargeing the batteries. So does anyone know if and how it could be powered from the bike.
I already have a TomTom powered from the socket at the headstock and my Autocom is powered from the rear of the power socket under the seat.

I use a multi socket in a tank bag :nenau

I wouldn't risk powering my camera from the bike. Unless I was certain that the supply could be regulated to the exact voltage required by the camera.

I do have a regulated supply for the bullet-cams linked to the camcorder but I carry spare batteries for the camcorder and a re-charger running from the bike.

My LANC switch tells me when the battery needs swapping.

I bought a car power interface for my Sony camcorder and I use a homemade regulator for the cameras.

I am wondering where did you get the connection for this socket at the headstock. i have a tomtom rider 2 but cant find a connection for this socket anywhere at the moment. tomtom are sold out of battery cables (i was going to connect 2 of them). Thanks. Euro:nenau
