Ok I have a 2009 GSA, with one of the nippy norman stand extender thingys on it..

I find it too high, the bike sits almost straight up, it cannot be adjusted either.

I am debating between a camel toe or the Tourtwat stand extended with a plate or two or Maybe even Mark of this parish's stand plate.

Any suggestions?

My bike is fitted with a camel toe. (Couldn't say I have a camel toe).

I bought another base plate and added spacers to lift it more up right.

Any suggestions?

Ask a friend does not seem to be working.

Toss a coin?

Most correspondents to UKGer think the TT variable stand is an over-priced load of tatish bling, sold by rip off merchants with an appalling delivery record. But, what do they know? They stay in F1 hotels and worry about the weather an awful lot.

Why not read up all you can on both. Look at the pictures. Compare the prices and..... wait for it, decide all on your own.

I've had a Camel Toe on my GSA, and it does the job.

2 slight problems however.

1) The bolt heads stick out at the bottom so your bike rests on these when you are on a hard surface. Never had a problem but it must reduce the grip on concrete etc.

2) No matter how I re-positioned the Camel Toe one bolt head always caught the center stand if I let the side stand spring up. If I gently rose the side stand with my foot on it, no problem.

On my standard GS i used one of these off ebay. Cheaper and better IMHO.

Hope this helps

Mike

I've got one of Mark's stand plates. It didn't cause any problems with angles etc when in use, but it fouled on the exhaust heat-shield when the stand was retracted. I tried repositioning it, and the exhaust, but couldn't fix it completely so took it off again.

No response to my emails seeking advice and/or refund so it remains in my shed :-(

As Paul has kindly stated above, Rugged Roads does both a Fat Foot and a Fatter Foot for the 2009 GSA - we use fixed studs on a stainless baseplate, so even after years of use you can still unbolt it if you need to.

The Fat Foot has a 2mm base so minimum lift on your sidestand. :)

The Fatter Foot includes spacers and gives approximately 10mm more lift to your sidestand.

I'm still thinking of alternative camel toes...Mmmmmmm:drool

Fek it - 9 hours on UKGSER and no one had posted one. Things aint like they used to be on here :blast
