Has anyone managed to fit a Cameltoe with an Akrapovic can fitted to a TC?

Cameltoe arrived yesterday, followed instructions but when sidestand is retracted it clatters the Exhaust heatshield

I'm wondeing if the Akra can repositions the standard heatshield slightly, causing this interface?

May have just wasted £34 :(

No they all do it mate, thats why I bought the tourtech heat shield, fits better and look alot better on the akra than the bm one, you can like so many on here, just bend/ manipulate the bm heat shield down untill it clears, but thats just a bodge in my oppinion!

So is this just an issue with the Akra can, or does it happen with the standard one too?

Or put it another way, is it my problem or is the Cameltoe not really fit for purpose?

Its a lovely made bit of kit so I'm really hoping I can make it fit.

Ghost -Rider A link to the touratech heatshield would be ace thanks

Time to get the angle grinder out :)

If you have one - just like the custom builders do

Found the TT Heatshield, ordered!

This is getting an expensive way of avoiding carrying a plastic Side Stand Puck around!

nice one mate:thumby:, when it comes you may still find that you need to ever so slightly open up the hole closest to the rear of the bike, and then just ever so gently just push down on the bottom middle of the guard, but like I say this is very very gently, so you cant tell, other than that, its a much nicer job/finish, its because its a bent up flat plate, as opposed to the bm oversized curved bit of tat:blast, but to be honest with you, its not the heat shield or the akras fault, I think the problem is plainly because your enlarging the side stand foot size, which is closing up the gap between the stand and the exhaust:blast, ive got the touratech foot enlarger and like I say it still clashed until I changed the heat shield:thumby:

I have an Akra Ti shotgun system (stacked mufflers). No problems with the stands fouling but the heat shield is very small. It has to be fitted as a full system the headers and cans are not interchangeable with standard or other systems.

The centre stand is better without its original rubber pad and bracket and sitting onto the Akra stand support (LHS). The side stand slightly fouls the centre stand foot lever if I use a £3 solid rubber ice hockey puck. TBH that's a good thing because it may well reduce any vibration fretting at the side stand pivot. It can also make the side stand slightly awkward to push down, but again it forces me to use it deliberately rather than kicking it and finding too late that it's flicked back up again.

Fitted a BMW Akra at the weekend, and have the Camel Toe - there is lots of clearance on mine.

Bought the Touratech Heatshield and it clears now, but only just.

Turned out a bit more expensive than the crushed coke can I used to use!!!
