Cameras on the M25 @ essex

Does anyone know if the hidden cameras behind the speed limit signs are live?
From the a127 towards towards Dartford on the 4 lane uphill stretch.
On the newly finished bit.
I guess they are part of a new variable speed limit system.

I am led to believe they are part of the speed control, so like the others nearer the M4 should only be activated when the signs are lit.

they weren't working just over a month ago when I came through a bit quick late at night

A bit of scientific research should have you an answer in quick time. Set the twisty thing to 85mph and look in your mirror as you go by and post your findings on here.

new speed cameras are now digital and dont flash as they use infared which is clearer than the old flash. normally speed camera are on when in viarable mode as between 8 to 15. or like the mobile sign entering the bridge, speed cameras now in use
