Simon, The under seat fule tank looks like it's very close to the substitute suspension. Is there enough space there for the shock?

Val.

yes

Val.

we've give 1 1/4 either side of the bar, the shocks are about 3inch so we should have about 1/4 to spare. the original units ran very close to the tank.

Early night tonight

I'm up at 5.30 to set off for 6am to go and collect camille. Can't wait to see what all the bits look like together:bounce1 can't wait to see the shocks in place and if my rule of thumb measurements are right:D
Oh and I've a few extra Straps and stuff to tie her down with:D

Si, Screw 10 inch battons either side of the wheels. This will stop the bikes tyres creeping sidways under the sterss of the tiedowns as the trailer bumps along the road. :thumb2

Val.

No can do

Val.

It's a hired trailer and he wouldn't be happy with me screwing stuff into the floor. What I'm going to do is set the bike at an angle and use the tie bars to wedge it into place the strap it down. I'll remove all the painted bits so nothing can be damaged. Once back home a day of filling and rubbing down and a day of painting should have everything ready for assembly.

the end is in sight

with all the major componants now collected its just a case of finishing everything up and reassembling everything. i'm well chuffed with the way its all gone and i think its as close to original as i'm going to get it. anyway here's a few pics for you to ponder and i'm now off to bed fer a kip as i've been up since 5.30 and have been to bristol and back. i'm knackered:D
