This was taken last Sunday in Shetland, our final ride on the way back to the ferry from Simmer Dim Rally

Feck me you've even managed to load a green dustbin and a triumph on the bike. Well done that man.

Can you tell me more about the bottle racks you have mounted on the back of your L/R panniers... they look great & I want some :)

Yes. these are the Touratech items.

The double bottle rack is for the petrol for the stove and a thermos flask. The other side contains the Touratech 2 litre container that I use for oil - just in case.

Think carefully which side you want the plastic container as some exhaust cans may direct the hot gases to the container and melt it. BMW/Akro exhaust can is fine.

The panniers are Jesse and are the narrowest available for the 1200 but hold 108 litres. These panniers have now done >60,000 miles on four bikes. :D

Two litre canister 070-0520
Holder for two litre canister 070-0522
Bottle container, two bottles 070-0525
Arno straps for above 055-0031 (length of 750mm)

We did four weeks that trip taking in Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro and a quick foray into Albania. Ferry from Bar in Montenegro to Ancona in Italy then to Amsterdam (ferry) via Switzerland and Germany.

Bloody marvellous - that's what it's all about.:thumb2

Luggage

Go to a couple of rallys as a day visitor and see how others do it and ask questions and you'll soon be like Charlie and Ewan! no probs as we all do it.
