Jon ive got a three man tent if you wana stay.All I will say Im not gay but i will have been away from Mrs Gavb0 for a week by the time this trip comes around and im planning on getting really pished :beerjug:

Amazing weather

This would have been the weekend to have gone camping. (Not the bank holiday). You can bet come the bank holiday there will be crowds, traffic jams and it will be pissing it down :blast

I reckon we may get lucky. After the Winter we just had, it would a bit unfair of the Weather Gods not to give us a decent Summer, for once!

Country File forecast for Mon-Fri is cloudy and cooler.

I somehow think it will warm up for Saturday. Dont ask me how I know, but half full and all that :)

..but we're men, and we ride GS's - a bit of cool temperature will be fought off with Brandy and beer, you'll see :jager :beerjug:

..oh - and an extra blanket :)
 
We'll just have to keep an eye on the forecast later in the week. I'm not bothered either way, and will be going whatever the weather as I just want to get away for a couple of days. At the moment, metoffice says it will be showery, but drier in the west of the region. If this is the case, we should be ok.....

As for the campsite. It's just going to have to be a case of turn up and hope there is space for us, and also that we're not going to get stung for the full weekend cost. The owner is pretty laid back, and we've been a few times now, so fingers crossed.....

I'l be at the RV point at haydock Island at 9am on saturday morning anyway, so whoever turns up, see you there...:thumb

Looking at the list of who's said they're coming, me and fireman said we'd do the off road. Melly & Dakardude were you intending to the off road sections too? Only reason I ask is Doc Savage won't be able to get to the campsite until later in the day and he was going to lead the road group. If you two preferred the road, then it's no problem, we can just knock the off road sections on the head....

I've never been off road but would like to try and have put some TKC's on just in case we had opportunity on 'learner' routes!

However i wouldn't want to hold you & fireman back if the off road stuff wasn't suitable for a virgin

Also if Dakardude isn't going off road i'd ride up with him anyhow and possibly get a chance for a bit of off road mentoring another time:D

In summary; i'll go with the flow and enjoy the weekend:)

Hiya mate,

Same for me, too - really need some time out so want to go no matter what.

I dont have nobblies so will have to stick to the road sections and give the off-roading a miss - shame as it would have been handy to get some practice in for the weekend after for the GS Trophy.

I can be at the Tickled Trout as planned Saturday am if people want to still meet up there?

I think we will get lucky with the weather - they rarely get the forecast bob on these days anything beyond 2/3 days max.

Are we still OK for BBQ-ing? Will one "Wagga Wagga" be enough? I wondered about buying one to increase the cooking facilities?

Do you think we will have enough with one Wagga Wagga? I can pick one up if you think we may need extra capacity? I feel a sirloin steak coming on :thumb2
 
I'm double booked at the moment - I'm trying to get out of it, without letting people down.

Its a team Clay shoot I'd comitted to a while ago but then forgot... so I need to find a replacement otherwise I'm going to do the clay shoot and then hot foot up to meet you guys.
