Called the campsite, spoke with the owner who remembered us from a few weeks back. Shouldn't be a problem for us getting in...

looking forward to the weekend; let us know if there is anything we need to bring (other than cash of course)

Great about the campsite Did they mention the Bank Holiday cost thing mate?

BBC Weather now stating light showers Sat. and cloudy Sunday - but theres time for that to change yet.

..but Metcheck now reverses yesterdays prediction and says sunny Saturday with rain from 10pm until 04:00am Sunday, then cloudy Sunday!

..who knows what the Weather Gods have in store?!?

Either way its gonna be good.

Cracking route planned for Saturday. About 200 miles riding from Tickled Trout in total. Almost all B roads.... Reckon we'll be at the campsite between 5 or 6ish.

Stretch, Im in Preston along with MellySenior - we are meeting at the Tickled Trout at 09:15 Sat. am. Remaining bikes then meeting us at 09:30 and then we head off!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear of your crap week; it will make the weekend even better though

Mine has been somewhat better and i should know if shortlisted to next stage with job; good feeling about this one so intend bringing some JD & placcy tumblers for all to enjoy

How shall we organise for food for the BBQ?

I reckon there's three choices...

1. We all take our own BBQ food up with us.
2. I buy enough food for everybody, Rudiemoto takes it up in the brum, and then split whatever the cost was between us.
3. We all chip into a kitty when we get to the campsite, and then a couple of us go to the supermarket in Keswick...

FWIW I reckon number 3 is the best option....

Picking the food up nearer to BBQ time will be the best way and means not worrying about meat and stuff going off in the panniers Plus cold beers from the supermarket fridge...

spoke to Gavbo and Yoz (our firestarter and lezbo hunter) they are in scotland and will be joining us at base camp at about 6 on saturday, and they might be bringing some mad scottish GS rider who they have picked up with them !!

I'll be jumping on the bike after I get back from hodnet and meeting you all !!
