I'm off to visit biker mate friends in Genk, Belgium in June and thinking of spending a few days bumbling around Wallonia/Luxembourg before heading back to Dieppe. Anyone experience of a municipal type campsite on the edge (walkable) of an interesting town in the area to use as a base for a few days?

I have started you a fresh thread.

We used to camp at the site above Clervaux, but that was in the early-to-mid-80’s.

I think you’d struggle to find a bad site in Luxembourg or in the south of Belgium.

One tip. Depending on when your jaunt is, it might well be an idea to see if you can book a pitch. Camping is more popular in Continental Europe, than it is in the UK, so sites might be fuller.
