CAMPSITES......or not !!!!!!

Why, why why,

Is it that wherever I try to find a campsite using the Zumo 550/Mapsource it only directs me to sites in Denmark and Norway (it shows local Hotels and B & B's OK) ???????????????

South of France or Peak Dstrict...........................nearest campsites listed.............Denmark and Norway !!!!!!!!!

Any ideas please?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'COs many countries don't have their campsites listed as POI's....so the nearest one it tels you about is actually just the nearest one it knows of

Local garages, local maps..or grab a campsite guide before you go.

There are also d/loadabale databases of camspsite POI's out there but be very careful, a lot of them aren't worth the paper they're not written on

Now if you don't mind can I take up a 'little' more of your time?

I am a complete computer numpty. Is it posible you could give me a step by stepidiots guide to getting the campsites sites from the website and on to Mapsource and/or the Garmin unit itself.

As i said I am a complete numpty when it comes to computers and if it is too much for you to go through on here then thanks anyway for the original pointer to the site.

Eurocampings website. It has the GPS Co-ordinates for all of their listed sites and also shows you where they are on google maps.

Over 19000 European campsites here.

Once you've got 'em into Mapsource save as a GDB as it loads quicker. You can view them in Google Earth from there.
