Hi all,
I dropped the bike and baddly damaged the left hand side cylinder cover. I replaced the cover as it was beyond the repair but now the engine is runing in the limp mode (cannot go past 5rpm) and I get this error: Fault in the engine control unit, onwards journey possible, ride carefully to next specialist workshop.
I connecthed Gs911 and get this code:
Fault Code Value 0x3A1B62
Fault Code Description
Camshaft sensor input signal, number and position of edges
implausible
I've replaced teh camshaft sensor but and cleared teh error but it reappaers and teh engine doesn't run properly and stalls. When it is called and I start it, it sounds it is only working on one cylnder. After a minute it runs smoother.
There is no obviuos physical damage apart from the scratch on the cam sensor wheel(pictured). Would it have an impact on the cam timing? I've repositioned it to allign with the cam sensor reader. Any ideas what it can be?
