Crash bars
Dare I say it but I put adventure bars on my 1150 with no probs, a fron plate is required qwhich bolt swere tihe two front rubber bits go. (look at Bob's BMW site, this has a spares micro fish. And shows all, bits , look for under body protection, this is the bash plate assembly.) I did not need to move any stand (my bike is 2001) if youve got a TT bash plate fitted to the centre stand this will need to be shortend a bit. Also yiou'll need to make a couple
of spacers to fit the rear fixings of the bash plte to the rear of the crank case. A piece of 25 X 25mm square box section is ideal ( only need abouit 5").
But beware as Mr S. will probably confirm bikes fdo flip with these bars which is what mine did (80 MPH) but are ok for slower prangs. Hit a truck at about
60 not too bad on the bars, only the forks came off with the front wheel!.
