A good friend of mine is recovering well from cancer and has set his middle aged heart on something like this - but I know nothing about Harleys and just on the off chance wondered in anyone here might know anything about this type of bike. Looks like this photo is taken in the states judging by the backdrop but to be honest I would not know where to start with identification.

Thanks

Gary

Looks like a customise "Fatboy" (FLSTC) to me, with a twin cam engine.

Code:

18-20 grand bike (OTR basic is 16k)

But fekkit, if he's recovering from cancer, he should get one :clap

Thanks Guys

Once again everyone has excelled - really appreciate the help, gonna see him next week so will tell him then.

Twin cam fat boy shot stateside I think

That's a Fat Boy. Otherwise called a 'Softail'.

Harley do a range of bikes starting at Sportster, low end cheaper bikes. Used to be ridiculed but there are a few nice ones now.

The soft tail range includes Fat Boy, Heritage, Deluxe etc.. Easily recognised buy the 'Hardtail' look to the rear end, the shock sits under the bike and is mounted longitudinally. Very nice bikes, classic Harley looks, hold their money well.

The Touring range is a bit more expensive. The Road King is a classic tourer, I have a Road King (do a search of my threads for pictures) up to the faired Glides. Top of the range CVO, a Custom bike. Tourers are more expensive but hold their money well.

Get your mate to do a search on the Harley website, all the models are on there. You could also look up the thread Show us your Harley on here, lots of pics/models etc.

And good luck to him for getting over the big c....
