Can anyone recommend a good current (July 2025) source for OSM / Topo maps?

I'm route planning again! To save me exploring the web, can any one recommend a good current source for OSM maps, specifically for the Pyrenees? This will be to load into Basecamp for route planning mainly

Ta!

Mild edit of the title.

I’ll stick this, as it’s probably a question that others would like to know the answer to, too.

Take your pick.

I've used https://alternativaslibres.org/en/index.php

And https://www.freizeitkarte-osm.de/

And made my own using MKmap and Splitter.

A lot of the ready to go maps are road biased.

Another option would be to use an old phone and subscribe to OSMand+ for a year for £5.00 at the moment. Bit of a learning curve but a great app. I am using it quite a bit for navigation at the moment.

A bit of a guide for using it to do TET routes.

I use Locus on the phone - pretty similar, I guess, but I'll be using the Montana 700's as the primary navigation device.

I just wanted some tope maps I can load into basecamp. I'll check those out, thank
