Can anyone recommend an exhaust system ?

I've been thinking of going de-cat and new end can. I'd like to know if you peeps can give me your experiences - good or bad just so I can try and make an informed choice if poss. The akro system is nice but maybe a tad expensive. Anyway I'll take cover ready for some responses.

I personally have always prefered the OE BMW exhausts, so probably not a lot of help to you on this one.

Very happy with the Dutch/German BOS can I put on the GSA. Excellent quality and the hanger is simple and well made. A bit shocked at the state of some stuff people will buy because it had a union flag on it...

Check their website for full systems.

Some are available on eBay. Mine came from a seller that turned out to be Fowlers in Bristol.
Everyones granny has an Akro these days...

I'm a bit hacked off as my BOS can from my 08 won't not fit the 11 plate bike with the exhaust flap thingy- and BOS won't respond to email requests to see if they do a different link pipe so that I can fit my end can

Well, they do have a different link pipe cos that's what goes into the exhaust flap valve on mine. Standard GSA heel guard bolts onto that and then the can clips onto that with the springs as usual.

I've got a remus on mine and im very happy with it, slightly louder than mates with Akky I did put the remus headers on too but it made the bike run very lean and loud, the loud not really an issue with me but the lean I didn't like and I dont want to start playing with power commanders while the bikes still in warranty.....so put the standard headers back on for now.... had the can on my previous gs which makes it nearly five years old and it still looks and cleans up well, considerably lighter than the bm can....

Got the Akropovic on mine. Really like it. Got it second hand for £200. Previously had Remus Powercone, bloody noisy and caused me to suffer from Tinitus.
