Can anyone tell me what year my R60/6 was manufactured?

Hullo, I’m trying to find out what year my R60/6 was manufactured. The V5C says it was first registered in July 1976 but I think it might have been built earlier than that because it has drum brakes on the front. The VIN number is 2963878.

If it's a /6 they ALL had drum brakes. A single disc was brought in with the /7 series.

If it's a /6 they ALL had drum brakes. A single disc was brought in with the /7 series.

You're better off with the TLS drum. Needed careful adjustment but far better braking than discs of the era. When going forward!
