Interesting thread. I always where plugs on a ride out, but not when I nip out for a 4 mile trip to pick something up for example. I think it will be plugs all the time from now on.
Tell me more
.............Anyway he has a price of software on his laptop that is a kind of hearing test.
Ha...ear plugs...that magical "cure all"....!
I would never ride without earplugs, even though the damage has already been done.
For years I rode without them before I knew any better. I now have tinnitus in both ears and loss of the upper noise range also in both ears. I struggle with conversation, watch tv with subtitles and no longer go to gigs. I wear hearing aids in both ears and they help, but don't undo the damage.
Fortunately, my wife is a latecomer to riding (pillion only, her choice) and has worn earplugs from day 1.
ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS!!!
+1 similar degradation here , upsetting ,
Bristolsaint,
... and have just started having acupuncture for it.....
Maybe worth a try?
Can you find out which software that is please?
How do find the the Puig screen? I am thinking of fitting one to my GS, do you still look over it or through it? how tall are you?
I have tried white noise machines. Didn't work for me. Not tried acupuncture yet but ear candles have just been held to be pointless, although one shouldn't discount the value of placebo effects.
