Can I load more than one map?

I've got a Zumo 550 loaded with a map of Europe. I'm off to Australia for 2 months later in the year. The first month I'll be on a bike , but for the second month Mrs Mallard is coming to join me and I have to switch to a car . I was thinking of buying a map of Australia from Garmin;- load it on my computer, and then I can play/plan quite a few of my routes. I then want to up-load my plans/routes to my unit and take it with me. Is there enough room on my unit for both maps? Can I load my map of OZ while still retaining my Euro map? Or would I need to load the OZ map onto a card?

I think you'd have to load the 2nd mapset onto a card.

Has Garmin's site or forum not addressed this?

Have e-mailed garmin but got no reply. I haven't phoned them yet.

You can load the second mapset onto an SD card without problems - the Zumo will 'see' both automatically and from an operational viewpoint it will make no difference whether it's on the Zumo hard drive or the SD card.
