Can someone do me a favour?

On cleaning the bike today (08 1200GS), on the RH pot just inboard of the inlet injector manifold, I see a tapped hole (blind) in the head. The LH pot has a brass hex nut sensor screwed into the hole in the same relative position. Question is: is it the same on yours?

Can someone take a look for me and let me know if there should be a blanking plug in there.

Of course it could always have been like this and I've never noticed!

Is it the hole where the head protectors bolt to?

From your description it would appear to be the same as on my '08 i.e tapped hole on the RH side and brass nut on the LH side. It does look like something belongs in there but mines been like this since I bought the bike 8 months ago.

No, inboard of the manifold.
