Fitting a Dakar Beak to SWMBOs 650GS and need to know the correct fitting position ie from centre screw of the beak to the back of the original gaurd if this makes sense. Many Thanks Wayne:thumb

If a photo would help, let me know what one's you'd like and I'll post them this evening, as I've got the beak already fitted along with a 21" wheel :)

Thanks John Photo would be good:thumb

Can't find a screw in the middle :o

But on the picture looking up, the black edge centre point is 120mm from the blue beak centre most point, and looking down it's 160mm.

Does that help?

plastics were updated in 04 when the twinspark was introduced.
Did the dakar have an extension on the beak that year looking at the broucher for 04 it does,nt look like, but it,s hard to tell.
have just looked at april 04 Tbm magazine and it look,s as if a twinspark has no extender

Billy its 2001gs not Dakar so not the same as in the phots

If you mean this sort of thing, I just eyeballed it. the side screws will be the best point of reference. just follow the natural curve of the beak
