.... from the 12gsa tank?

I've regularly fed friends from my 1150gsa tank while on long journeys particularly down thru France or Spain. It was a piece of cake with the 1150gsa, disconnect the tube connecting the two lobes at the right side pull the tube out onto the left side fill a bottle or whatever.

I haven't even looked yet but anyone know if its as easy or indeed possible on the 12gsa? I'm hoping to have to do it again real soon :D

Just use a length of hose and siphon it out into a fuel can. Tastes awfull though.

Yep, that's the easiest.
I also do that to empty the fish tank.
Now, that does taste bad

If the 1200 has QD fulel connectors like the 1150, make hose up to do the job.

You need a QD to fit the return feed pipe, fit the QD to your length of hose, remove the return feed and put your hose on instead, run the engine, and the fuel that would normally return to the tank will then be fed to what ever you are filling:thumb

holy thread resurrection :D

Hoıw do you tell the difference between the return & fuel feed?

on an 1150.......

I was kind of wondering how to identify the feeds on the 1200 as well - BTW the 1200 does have QD connectors that on the standard 1200 are located right by the Fuel Pump Controller just under the front edge of the tank.

Wouldn't it be easier if they just stopped and bought petrol before they ran out.....novel idea I know......

You back then:confused:

if i was disconnecting the QD fittings regularly, i'd carry a spare O ring.
