Can you recommend a suspension 'shop' in Scotland?

A couple of years ago I 'invested' in a WP rear shock (4014 Spin with hydraulic preload adjuster etc.) for my '05 R1200GS.

To be honest, I've never really been that happy with the shock. I had quite a few teething problems with the fitting (mostly down to my own lack of technical ability) and then with set up. I've compounded this by losing a significant amount of weight over that time. When I ordered the shock, it was set for me in my bike gear at 95 kilos. I'm less than 80 kilos now and that's also with bike gear on.

I'm now wondering whether to spend some more money on sorting out the rear (or replacing it) and buying a new front shock to go with it. I suppose I could just buy two new Wilbers / Ohlins / whatevers and sell the WP on eBay but there is part of me that thinks that's a waste and that a good suspension expert will be able to unlock the shock's performance for me.

The potential fly in the ointment is that if I do keep the existing WP, there might be a difficulty in getting a WP up front. The official WP dealer in the UK is no longer since KTM made some changes there last year. They're now an Ohlins specialist although they can still service and set up WP shocks. They're also somewhere in England so I have no plans on going down to see them!

Plan B remains to convince SWMBO that I need a 'new' bike!

Any ideas?

Bit of an old thread, but being as I'm on holiday. Used the form on both of their websites, only ERS got back to me so I phoned them and I'm off to get my old R1100RS setup with them on Monday. I had a go setting the sag etc but got a bit confused and the way the preload on the front was changing sag at the rear etc.

Still no word from the Glasgow guys - perhaps mentioning my old bike put them off :)

Eddie Stone @ ERS racing in Dumfermline set up the suspension on my R1200ST when I fitted Wilbers. All a bit of black art and you need to allow a couple of hours as it is a case of adjust, go for ride, re-adjust until you are happy.

Just back from taking the R1100RS in to Eddie, he did his thing with preload, compression and tyre pressures on the EMC units I have fitted.

Bike is now more composed, not as bouncy but not as harsh. Nice one.

Sounds like he knows his stuff, bike feels like he knows his stuff. :)
