What do you mean by canbus connector?

2 pin 3 pin 4 pin 5 pin, all have provision within the Canbus environment. BMW sell them all, and more often than not, cheaper than some of the big name specialists

Ok, thanks

To make a male and female connector, which I guess is what you are trying to do, the sometimes tricky bit is joining the individual wires to the pins and receptors properly.

Google: multi pin automotive electrical connectors

And take your pick.

When looking for stuff like this, I find it’s often best to Google the words, as above, and then tap on ‘Images’ as a picture is worth a thousand words of often vague description. Find something you like? Great. Tap on the picture and follow the links.

PS There is nothing magical about ‘Canbus’ electricity. You could just twist the wires together, it will work. What is it you are joining to what?

PPS Deutsch are arguably the best connectors, along with their crimping tool but they are not cheap.

Cheers Wapping.
I bought the wiring harness that you suggested in a previous thread-( £37 from BMW) that piggy backs from the back of the aux socket under the seat. As you pointed out, the newer one that I got has a long lead on it that has enough length to go up to the bars. I have already connected my S/H Nav 5 into the aux connector by the forks but wanted another power source for phone etc. The previous owner of my '08 GSA had already drilled the din plug hole up by the left hand side winglet so I have just ordered a din plug which should already have the connector on it to plug in the wiring harness previously mentioned. I have also ordered the optimate din plug adapter to 2 x usb sockets from Motorworks, so hopefully, I'm sorted now!

Good stuff.

Glad the old thread on piggybacking the power connector still works.

Enjoy your power.
