Just traded up from a Nuvi 360T following a few technical gremlins to the all singin' all dancin' Zumo 550... Been fitting it to the bike today and after a few minor mods to the Touratech cockpit shroud to allow it to sit above the clocks and just below eye level its lookin good.... so far!

I've seen a couple of posts re the sacred Canbus plug and haven't had a chance to pester my local dealer yet... Does anyone have a spare kicking about in the depths of their garage and if so would you consider selling it to me? Off to Applecross this weekend and hoping to give the Zumo it's first outing...

Cheers:thumb2

I did think about that but had hoped to wire it thru the actual GPS connection. I believe these connection are like hens teeth anyway so I may just make by own if there are none out there and my dealer struggles too

Cheap and simple solution to wiring to the GPS socket.

Solder over the last 5-8 mm of each wire to make it stiff and the result is a couple of `pins' that easily slip into the sockets.

The weather cover can now be pushed back on with the wires coming through one edge.

Secure it all with a bit of insulating or self amalgamating tape.

Did mine this way two years ago and no problem.
