A few words on Cannon's in Chelmsford. Have just traded in my Honda Blackbird for low mileage GS Adventure. My 2nd time dealing with Cannon's these guys are great to deal with. OK so they gave me the Glass' guide for my bike which I expected. However, unlike a number of other dealers I went to they didn't scoff at requests for negotiation on the other bits and bobs I was looking to add to the bike. In other words they want to sell you a bike and so a deal was struck. All done in a very friendly and professional manner, I dealt with Nick, and I will be going back to them again. :beerjug:

Reidy

Been using them for 3 years now having bought a 650GS and now awaiting the 1200.

Echo your views, particularly dealing with Nick. What sort of bits did you negotiate with them on? Whilst their service has always been good, its always been at list!!

Two things.

Firstly, I only got book for my trade in and I paid over the odds for the Adventure, although they were very friendly and efficient as they took my money...I too got the coffee!

Secondly, as a newish owner, I have looked at this site and have noticed the usual problem, are we "sarf east" or, "east angular (isn't that abroad?)."

So as Cannonites, where do the Essex GSers meet up, or don't they bother?
And if they don't, should we?

For house prices I vote "sarf east".

For labour charges I wouldn't mind "east angular". But I 'spose I can't have it both ways!

Don't know where we meet, as I haven't tried yet but have promised my self some more fun when the 1200 arrives. Tried the "where to ride" bit of the forum? I 'aven't yet but will do.

I'll have their babies

I now love Cannons more than a vimto ice-cream float, and would be willing to have their babies.

I've apparently twatted-up big time, however they are holding to the warranty agreement.

Bless every one of their little cotton-socks!:clap :bounce1 :clap :bounce1 :clap

Buy all me BM's from Cannon, usually deal with Tony, the tall chap with the beard.

Always get a cuppa coffee and a nice loan bike at service time.

They have special service rates for customers who've bought their bikes there and they knock 10% off all parts & accessories an' all.

Recommended.

:)

If you are a prat too, take a flask.

Just got the GS back and they only made me feel slightly prattish for having broken it in the first place.
No coffee though, perhaps a new engine was all they could run to this time.

Still, blees'em and their warranty.
