well done mathew for coming here and clarifying your position.good luck for the future:thumb2

Rome wasnt built in a day indeed.......

and it never will be built with IDIOTS like bill cannon on the firm.

TODAY he told a TOTAL LIE to the guy who brought my F650Dakar off me 2 weeks ago. He said that they(cannons) had replaced the complete wiring loom and that i had caused the acid errosion of the loom (while it was parked up in my back garden:blast) when in fact what they had done was to just replace the lambarda sensor and coils . (after an epic 7 week fault finding mission by the fab new technicians:augie)
The reason for this moron saying this i dont know but a week ago i asked for a copy of the job card to be sent to the new owner as there was a problem with the bike. They "did not want to release an internal document" which is fair enough i thought but then today BILL CANNONS said that they replaced the complete wiring loom but "didnt bother " to claim it under warranty or charge me for this "work they did".
Its just A COMPLETE LOAD OF BOLLOX the bike never had a new loom fitted and cannons never fixed my bike after all the unreturned phone calls and 7 weeks of having the bike . Vines of Guilford found the fault within 15 min .
All of this has just happend ................reply if you wish but id rather you sort out a decent service for anyone else who currently has a bike with you.

:1/10: and that is only because you have free coffee and donuts

Matthew. I did say in my first post on your first thread that unless you could get rid of Bill, you would be fighting a losing battle, yet again his complete and utter arrogance has started to unravel all the goodwill you were attempting to build up in this forum...
That man is a Liability!!!.................

+1 Until the name and owners change it will always be the same, I'm very sorry to have to say that but it's the truth.

Matthew I applaud your efforts to turn this situation around and I wish you all the best in your endeavours but it does seem that your efforts are being undermined by the idiot in chief. :comfort

Start of this thread was notification of free bike collection or 10% off service yes?
Not exclusive to Cannons as I got a leaflet through my letterbox from Balderstons at Peterborough with exact same offer. Runs till end of Feb 2010.
Plus 15% off a 6k or 12k service if it includes the annual check.
I will be taking them up on one of these offers in the new year.:thumb2

Particular Thanks to Johnny Boxer for a positive comment - Many Thanks!

Whatever each individuals opinion of an individual is, and for whatever reason, please respect that Bill and Sue Cannon are my employers; and I personally hold them in high regard.

They have invested a great deal of faith in me to run an established business; for which I am grateful.

I entered into the spirit of conversation with the forum to attempt to build bridges with a minority of customers who feel let down; but I draw the line at responding to personal insults, directed at either myself or my employers.

I can only suggest that those who have previously voted with their feet continue to do so, as clearly no amount of humble pie is sufficient for you, and for those who wish to meet the new team, please do come down, as we would be delighted to meet you!

In the meantime, I am also responsible for the welfare of a dozen or so staff, and intend to aspend as much time as possible ensuring that the New Team all pulls together to reach our goals, and hope that we will be allowed to do so without fear of persecution on this site.

In the meantime, thanks again to those of you who express good wishes, I do ensure that this is fed back to the team, as I know they are motivated by it!

Enjoy your weekend everyone, and wrap up warm!

Regards

Matthew

as somebody who pops in now and then to have a butchers at the bikes or pick up some service parts i hope you turn it around:thumb2

perhaps you should arrange meetings with the disgruntled partys to try and resolve their issues

one of the sad facts is peeps will shout the loudest and longest when they are pissed off, but rarely shout out when alls well:blast

Good man Matthew

I hope you and the new team succeed and the business goes from strength to strength

It's tough out there, not only serving the public to meet their aspirations, but all those demands of running and maintaining a BMW franchise

BMW dealers have a variety of aspirations, profit being one of them, but also working with the public and providing a good service to them, employing staff and helping them through their career path and making sure they get paid so they can support their families. Having fun and loving selling bikes.

There are good and not so good dealers in the BMW network, just like there are good and bad customers....................it cuts both ways:D

Many customers make unreasonable demands and that can be hard to please and thus the dealer gets the flak

I have a very good relationship with my dealer, Rainbow...............however my expectations are realistic, honest and polite.................and with this stance as a customer, my expectations are often surpassed by Rainbow staff which makes me happy.

Sometimes if they can't do something they are honest and say no..................usually because it won't wash with BMW or my request is unrealistic and that's fine with me.

Again its a two way street, but we know where we are and the bottom line is they need to make a profit to keep the doors open and pay their staff - I wouldn't work for nothing.............would you?

I may never visit Cannons (distance) but if i'm down your way, I would have no hesitation in calling in for a coffee and chat about a bike purchase or some parts/clothing..........................you have balls to come on here.............and that speaks volumes to me.

Well done:thumb

Like Johnny said, it's great that you've come on here and want to have a conversation with us. I just hope you've a thick skin for all the nay sayers that will hover around!

I last came to Canons when you were where you aren't now (eh? It's the beer :eek) and I bought my bike (new) from you ooooo, nearly 7 years ago. I've no axe to grind; I go to steptoe for servicing cos I like him, simple as that. But maybe if I get a proper job I'll come and see you one day and get a shiney new bike... :thumb
