Can't delete 'some' emails

As per title. I have some emails that won't delete, If I try, it throws up a box the says 'an unknown error has occurred'...I have other emails from the same places that I can delete....any ideas please?

Is this on a computer (what type, OS et.) iPhone, android device?

Who is the the email provider, Gmail, Yahoo, BT etc. Have you tried logging in directly to your email account via a web browser to delete the email?

Its on a lap top, provider is BT...windows 7.

In MS Outlook?

Log in to your mail provider via web-access, and delete them there.

Otherwise - have you tried moving them to a new folder by dragging - then try and delete.

Managed to drag them into new file and then delete.. cheers for the suggestion
