I have a pair of Halvarssons trousers. They are around six years old now and I think they need a wash ( my usual ride partner has taken to riding alongside rather than behind!). They're not really unhygienic, just getting a bit grubby.

The problem is that I can't see how to get the armour out. I have turned them inside out and tried to find an entry through the mesh lining ( I have already removed the inner lining) and can't find a way to get in and slip out the armour, everything seems tobe sewn in tight .

There is nothing in the washing instructions to say that the armour has to be removed but that doesn't seem right to me. I have spoken to the people who sold me the trousers and they said there should be a small zip entry or Velcro. But the problem is that my stuff is out of date and they no longer sell that model. That's the other problem, there is nothing on the trousers to identify the particular model.

Any help and advice welcomed

Try Hideout Leathers who should be able to advise you as they are Halverssons stockists. 01799 584810 or 01799 584828

The way in is through the pockets ( Thanks ladies at Hideout for the solution).. There are little zip entries in the bottom of the pockets large enough to get a hand in and wrestle the Velcro to get the pads out. Not looking forward to getting them back in again, but ther old bike breeks should be nicer to be close to!:D

Says you!

May be the reason your partner has taken to riding alongside rather than behind ! :augie

6 years before washing ...... do you do a lot of miles ? It's got to be a record :bow

Glad for us all of us in the region you managed to get it sorted :D
