Cant Help But Want An ADV

I also had the GS 14. Swapped over to the GSA 15. I agree with everyone here.

It is the the ultimate machine:

How about the suit? Any good?
Currently in need of replacement

Suit is very good. Done a recent trip covered about 1500 miles. It was great in wet and dry conditions. The liner is easy to remove. It has good armour and lots of breathable sections.. Downside it is pricey.

Will you lot pack it in!!:blast:blast:green gri

Im looking at trading in my lowered 2013 Gs LC 10 k on the clock
I havent test ridden the lowered GSA, Anybody got a 29" inside leg and has tried both?
Or with the extra fuel and weight Am i just dreaming.:flag

I've got a shorter inside leg than you and ride a 14my GSA just fine

Could that have something to do with your name and what you weigh ,getting it closer to the ground anyway:hide:marc:banana
Only kidding mate .....Nice to know though , because this one still catches me out at cambers etc .

If you go for a test ride on a new GSA make sure you take your cheque book because its all over my friend. I wasn't seriously considering a change (my other bike is a Blackbird and I just love it) but at a loose end one afternoon so popped into the Linds Motorrads for a snoop around. I like riding new bikes and will probably test ride 4/5 bikes a year. The test ride on the GSA was booked for that weekend and I could see the £ signs in the sales guys eyes as I took my lid off after the ride.

It is not the fastest, nor the best handling, nor the best sounding bike I have ever ridden....but for me personally, in real world conditions (i.e. not on a track day) it is the best all-round package. Stick it in "RAIN" mode and it is as easy to ride around time as my old Honda Dominator. Pop it into "DYNAMIC" and its about as much fun on a twisty B road as any bike I have ever ridden.

There are loads of really good bikes out there but for me, its just awesome! :thumby:

So just had a test ride of a ADV from Park Lane (cost £20 effing quid) and yeah..... its a great bike! It was full of fuel and i didnt really notice the extra weight! weirdly didnt feel tall either. Felt perfectly manageable in fact ! Typically i tried to find some tight traffic and there wasn't much but i don't think the wide tank is as bad as i thought it was. Just waiting on some numbers on my bike VS a Camo green one they have in stock.

Parking was interesting though :D:D:D

It could well be or that I've become accustomed to riding tall bikes having spent many years on KTM EXC's

A lot of it though is in the mind. If you are worried that you will drop it then you will. I don't hold with the thought that you have to get both feet flat on the floor when stationary to be in control. If I did, I would be riding a Honda Grom :augie

I personally find the LC GS more of a handful height wise than the LC GSA so that must be down to the seat and it's cut/foam

I much prefer the feel of the GSA :thumby:

Oh well out for a test ride in November then. Or should i wait until January when its all quiet ,I get back in country the 5th jan,
I couldn't sell a stick to a blind man, so it might be better.:D

So how did the GS and GSA compare, did they feel much different to ride ? Are you sold on one ?

It was good. To be honest, there wasn't much difference at all!! It was like riding my bike... but not (if that makes any sense) but i did notice the weight in a couple of places, but not outrageously! It is bloody wide, but then, so is my waste haha! Suspension felt a bit softer, but was set to one rider, whereas mine is set to one rider with luggage, so that might account for it. handling felt the same really, couldn't notice any difference with the geometry. This is all around town riding though, so 100mph round corner and over crest might be a bit different :nenau

Im waiting for some numbers from the dealer, then will see. But nothing put me off so far!

The LC GSA is a fantastic bike , had one of the first in the country last year .one test ride was all it needed to know it was for me.
Goes like stink for a GS , positively Rocket like compared to the older model .lots of toys and I find it easy to filter on , but only use a top box , no panniers
I recently bought s 1200 triple black GSA 2012 to go with it and love that as well .Both bikes shrink when you ride them but people get out of the way if you have your fog lights on:D you won't regret it , looking at keeping mine a while though I do like the Red :thumby:

Olive Green...the best colour

get a tinted GS Screen and winglets, makes it look very cool

Ouch..... offered £11k for mine... that may be a deal breaker, i don't really accept 5 grand depreciation in 7 months haha!
