Can't open program-HELP

I don't know if anyone can help but,
yesterday whilst doing our VAT returns with Sage accounting the computer got switched off. Now when I try to log onto Sage all I get is a message saying (username is in use the program cannot connect you at this time)
I've done the usual switch on and off a few times but no joy!
As I am our entire IT department and I can only just get to grips with UKGSer any help would be most appreciated. Bloody computers

Found THIS by Googling, it may help

If you know the password, try logging in using "Manager" as the username.

Also, Sage normally gives an option to remove an existing username in this situation - it comes with some fairly dire warnings but I've never known it cause a problem. But its your call, etc, etc.
