Right, :popcorn
Ive got an adventure with standard screen, Ive got a Schuberth with double glazed visor and I wear glasses. (half a pack of cigarettes, a tank of gas....wait wrong film!!:blast)

I am struggling to keep visability when it rains, the screen buffets my head but, from past experience, a bigger screen means there is not enough air flow to stop visor misting!!:headbat

Am I as well to give up, buy an open face helmet and wear goggles? :nenau or, are there any other suggestions that will not crucify my wallet??

HELP:thumb2:thumb2

Get the Schuberth pinlock visor. It eliminates misting.

As for buffeting, do a search for screens or tobinators.

This works for me on my GSA:

Stop Buffetting (I'm 6'3") - Ztechnic Vstream tall screen

Stop Visor misting on my Schubert S1 - pinlock visor

Stop Glasses misting - Fog Tech solution (apply sparingly)

The screen sends all the road spray over my head. I still get rain on my visor but at least it doesn't have all the grime off the road in with it. I also clean the visor with SDoc Plastic polish which helps the rain bead off the visor. The only issue with this combo is when the visor gets a bit old and scratched up it can be difficult to see in the rain and at night. Just ordered a new visor and pinlock for £63 shipped from the Visorshop.

Ive got the pinlock visor (hence calling it doubleglazzed!!)

Tried tobinators on std GS what do they do on the GSA?

GOt item 2 on your list and dont think I can afford item no 1!!

FOg Tech intrigues me, how long does it last for ans where do you get it??:thumb

Loads of places sell Fog Tech, here's one:

http://www.visorvision.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=25

I bought the liquid last December and still have loads left although I only use it on my glasses. I did try it on a visor as well but found the slightly "oily" residue a bit irritating, so put a Pinlock on that and use the Fog Tech for the glasses.

The pinlock needs to be in good condition (not cleaned with any chemicals) and you need a good seal between it and the visor (make sure there are no gaps in the rubbery bead).

You also need a small amount of airflow to help prevent fogging so try opening vents to exhaust some hot moist air.

There, I've said it, moist.

Have you tried disposable soft contact lenses? Not wearing glasses means two less foggy/wet/smeary surfaces to peer through. Made a big difference to my riding confidence in foul weather.

I tried contacts but ive got a stigma and could get one side brilliantly but the other played up:blast:blast:blast

Sounds like it's your glasses fogging. I have a Schuberth without the pinlock and find that keeping the visor just cracked open keeps it and my specs perfectly clear. Good luck!

Pinlock adjustments

Now here's a thing, might not be the remedy you're looking for but all advice given freely etc etc. I changed my Pinlock dark visor for the brand new clear no tint visor this week and did not have the inner pinlock visor so I used the old one from the tinted visor. Used it all week no problems then today it pissed it down and I had about an inch of clear visor at the top to peer through..... argh how i got home with incident i dont know.

So called in my local HG shop for a whinge and the staff told me that the pins on the visor are offset and can be tuned i.e. turned so that the inner pinlock visor pushes against the main visor and creates a seal. Took the lad about 2 mins to do including a good clean. Take it in to HG and see if one of the staff will sort it out for you, got to be worth a try.

Same problem for me with too many layers to see through on the wet:augie

I use the touratech screen extender on my GSA along with a pinlock in my Multitec lid. If it all gets a little damp and misty, I just lift the visor a notch and that seems to do the trick. There seems to be just enough airflow to clear any misting on my specs.

Doesn't work with the TourX though as it seems to suck water up under the chin:eek:
