On this, and other forum's, I can see most posted pics but not all, I get the red X. I can also right click to open the pic but this doesn't work every time ..

Any help welcome :thumb2

Open Task Manager (Ctrl-alt-del), and select the "Open Task Manager" option

Have a look at "processes" and sort according to Resource usage.

If Internet Explorer is using more than 500,000Kb, then you have an add-on from some application which is sucking up resources in IE

Stop the IE process (only the highest- resource).

Al,
Jesus there's hundreds of 'em going and I've no idea what most of them are :rob

is it that I've too many things open at the same time?

Sort according to memory usage, and see if any if the iexplorer.exe ( there could be three or four of them) is up there using over 500mb.

If there is - right-click on it and left click on the "end process" option.

You may have to open the webpage again, or Windows might just open it for you.

Either way - you will be using a lot less memory in IE.

You may have to do this every so often

On my last laptop it was Adobe Acrobat that was the culprit and disabling some add-in sorted it forever.

Looks like that's the answer .. IE was running three times with over 500mb going plus all sorts of minor unknown things so I ended the IE process and resarted and it's a lot less usage now ..

Ghirri,
Just checked the ADV page and I can see all the pics ok now ...

I have a lazy habit of having lots of stuff open at the same time and jump between them but it appears this is maybe not a good thing to do ...

Thanks for the help :thumb2
