Tank bag, crash bars(motech best imho), side stand enlarger, rok straps. If bikes new carry oil 4 any trips over 100 miles as bike will drink it on run in. Tip, drive it hard after initial running in. Will do the engine the world of good. Happy riding.

New bike

For riding gear you can't beat MCA in leicester fantastic quality kit but your a little to far away maybe, they are the top lads there, all top gear.
I've just ordered my new gs yesterday so we were trying on hiding gear yesterday. Will prob go dianese route. We tryed the BMW rally suits on. Very expensive and I'm told by lads visiting that they are good, but i didnt like the clingyness of the inner waterproof lining. Apparently the outer suit is just shower proof, if it chucks it down water goes thro suit and runs down off the inner lining inside the outer suit. Therefore in those circumstances the outside jacket stays soaked. All the bells a whistles on the jacket and very well kitted out with good ideas but not for me.
You can spend many hours looking thro the forum for recommended kit.. Forums the dogs danglies for advice. Enjoy bike.. Which one did you go for? I've gone standard size gs as I'm short bum but gone for triple black

If you don't get matching twatsuits and Aria X3 you'll get laughed out of Tesco's car park.
Go to nearest BMUU dealer on a saturday and have a look at what all the clones are wearing.

Go for Rukka if you're flush or Hein Gericke if you're not. Waterproof gloves and boots are a good idea. Avoid helmets with a peak :ymca

If you want properly waterproof kit then it has to be goretex - and to be fair if you can catch hein gericke at the right time they have some good offers.

simples

Work out what your budget is and then read reviews and shop around. As with most things in life - you get what you pay for, oh and go for the best helmet you can afford.

Also if you havent already done some it is worth putting a few quid to one side to do some advanced training. Your pillion will thank you for it.

All the best.

Heine Gericke

Touring Suit
In Goretex, removeable winter linings, air vents and armour

Has lasted me for 4yrs has been machine washed and re proofed twice

Still dry as a bone and still in good condition Was cheaper than Rukka and BM

Enough of a twat without the clone suit

Get what you pay for HG have always got deals on but are willing to haggle

As previously stated get good helmets - what are your heads worth ?

Best waterproof boots that last a long time are Daytona but not cheap ,shop around can be bought cheaper from Germany if you know the sizes

Top it all off with waterproof gloves Then the weather can do what it likes you will stay dry warm and comfy so will your pillion

If you are unfortunate enough to take a slide you should have a fair amount of protection

Cheap this biking aint it ?

Oh and get some training was solid advice

I have just kitted me and the wife out in Hein Gerrick gear for our trips this year. always had Shoei lids for my self and the mrs buys what ever fits her but still good.

Hein gerrick do a fantastic range of gear and like said catch them right and you will get some good deals.

Go to the shop and try it on as well as mail order and you could find one size of one make will not fit in another make.
