Car parking in Newcastle

I start a 10 week contract for a Training company on Monday...
initially I'll be based in Newcastle, where's the safest and cheapest place to park my Car? Needs to be near the High Level Bridge

Corporation Street, on the road (parallel to The Hill and free) and walk down in 10 minutes??

Or if it's still there the carpark where the brewery was.
