Can anyone help identify these mikuni carbs fitted to my 60/6. Non standard items but the bike seems to run well on them

I’ve been doing some research and it looks like VM28s were sold as a kit for the R60 so they may well be those. I’ll see if I can find any identifying numbers tomorrow.

If you wish to replace with original Bings …Kleinanzeigen.de is your friend…
For example
I always was under the impresssion the Mikuni are more responsive and were a good conversion at the time…

Thanks for sharing that. I haven’t seen that marketplace before. Now bookmarked.

@Mad Hatter If I recall rightly the old 4 screw flat top bings were "functional" but the Mikuni conversion give them a bit of zip

Until people started fitting cone filters then the air velocities and added turbulence from no induction tube made a detrimental change

Just something to thing about before you go swapping stuff back

Edit holding my Hand up! The one I had here had the old 4 screw flat top diapraghm type carbs fitted and I have not worked or seen many other /6 s here

Cheers Dr. I think the standard carb is a little roundslide bing without diaphragm. It’d be good to find a pair for originality’s sake but that said it’s not a very original bike (Boyer ignition, single seat, rack) and it does start and run really well on the mikuni’s
