Cargo net for inside lid on Vario top box

Hi guys, after a bit of info..
Seen various bikes with vario top boxes fitted, some have a inner net on the inside of lid, dealer today said not on his system..
Any ideas or part numbers or where to purchase..?

Make your own. Get one of those cheap bike rack bungee nets and some small plastic self adhesive picture hooks. Place hooks near corners of lid, Remove wire hooks from bungee and cut the net to required size. Stretch net around hooks. Perfect for storing documents, gloves etc in lid. I had enough net in one of the Oxford nets to do 2 lids on 1150 ADV cases. Cheap and effective. Even cheaper make a loop of bungee cord, double it, place one loop round the 4 hooks and the top loop diagonally across the corners figure of 8 style. You can also place a spring toggle in the loop to adjust tension depending on what your carrying.

I saw one fitted to a vario top box that was for sale on here, the seller suggested that he had sourced it from an Italian company on Ebay. Worth a search maybe if you don't fancy the boy scout approach :augie

Trying hard to see how useful this item is, but failing miserably. I thought the top box was designed for keeping things in - y'know, a box with a lockable lid. You can just buck your stuff into it and lock it, then go buy an ice cream.

Can one also buy shelves for it? Sliderobes?
 
I've got these in my panniers, i think there great because the stop the expensive stuff falling out if i open the lids whilst on the bike. I put chargers - ipad - camera under the netting.

When not in use , you can keep yor hair or moustache in place . So you can look a right ****:augie:D
 
Excellent, a fight over the rights and wrongs of cargo netting in panniers.

With the added bonus of the inevitable... They're a rip off, mate.

I bought one of the cargo nets for my TB and it was a brilliant simple mod. I'm sure there are plenty of other ways to do this but it works perfectly.
I've swapped the net to my LC varios - and bought a couple more for the panniers. They get my vote. :thumb2
