59 euro to add a 1200 for 1 month :eek::mad::mad::mad:

Policy expires in june, and wanted to add a 1200 from Sunday...
They already screwed me adding the KTM (50+ euro), but at least that was for 5 months

Have used them for 6 years, but never again !!!

Over to Adelaide in June :thumb

Moan over :thumby:

You could have used ebike for the monthly rolling insurance, that's if they still do it. My friends fella borrowed one of my bikes for a month and that's what he did, then just cancelled it before the second month kicked in

Don't think ebike covers Ireland:nenau

I'm with Axa, never had a problem:thumb extra €25 for up to 3 extra bikes and full European cover:thumb2

DavyF,

MCE were very reasonable and the cover was acceptable. As long as you don't need to make any changes, it's more or less just the same as any other insurance company.

However,getting through to them by phone was a nightmare and I waited about 40 mins before getting to speak to someone, who then cut me off. Another umpteen minutes waiting and I eventually got through again and made the necessary changes and was told I'd recieve the updated docs by email. They never came.

A few days later, I flew over to the mainland to pick the new bike up and again had to phone MCE while in the dealers to confirm the insurance details. Yet again, an overly long wait on the phone, but horrified to find that the changes that I had made weren't on the system. And then they cut me off again. It was so bad, the dealer actually let me take the bike as I had spent another half hour waiting to speak to someone for a second time and he was as fed up as I was.

The real kicker was changing the cover from my Fazer 1000 to the Versys 650, which was within three months of renewal, they charged me over half of the actual premium I had paid to insure the Fazer for a smaller cc bike which was only valued at less than £2k more than the Fazer. The main charge was the admin fee. They take the robbing bastards title to a whole new level.

Carol Nash are a shower of ccccccct, I had a claim with them, what a nightmare, you pay your money to them in Dublin, when you have a claim you deal with UK office, a solicitor in UK who got more money than I did & claim handlers in Belfast. The file is 6 inches high, My bike was 6 months old so lost 4000 euro depreciation, Had I been with AON they would have given me a new bike as up to the first 12 months they will replace with new.
My bike along with 3 others were parked outside a hotel in Luxembourg when a drunk driver in a jeep decided to drive over them, the others were with AON, filled one form, got paid out without a hassle.
Anyone with Carol Nash BEWARE.
