Carpuride 702 BS Review (the one with Wonderwheel integration).

If nothing else, it shows the direction BMW could have taken, had they not embarked on their less than perfect ‘in house’ phone based app and its display on the bike’s TFT screen.

I used to like BMW’s Navigator series, run in cooperation with Garmin, especially when the later models allowed control through the bike’s wonder wheel thing. It was on my 1600, excellent.

Thanks for posting this, It's the first real video showing it working, In English. I've come from the 702, and whilst I loved it, and used it solid for six weeks around Norway, Sweden & Finland, There were a couple of things I didn't particularly like. The older 702 mount, just as you say, felt weak, and protruded. That's now sorted, I pulled out of a campsite very early one morning, and had to pull over and manually turn down the screen brightness, as I couldn't see. that's now sorted. The fact I had to continually touch the screen to get to it functions. That's now sorted.
Once an Item is highlighted , How do you select it ?
I have this BS version now, But wont receive my bike until March 1st. The start-up screen is very easy to change. I've chosen a simple BMW roundel for my start-up. (below) Good to see it all working as it should. These are on another level compared to the BMW Nav series.
Thanks again for posting. (y)

Scroll wheel up/down to highlight the selection, then push scroll wheel right to “action” it.
Thanks
There's a few videos online where this has been an issue, although Carpuride instantly provided a firmware update to solve It. (y)

Mine works out-of-the-box on a 1250 so I’ve not needed to firmware update yet. I did get stuck with the scroll wheel selecting screen brightness rather than the icons on the page, but power cycling reset it.

I’ve not got CaliMoto or MRA to display in CarPlay split screen mode yet either (Waze and Apple Maps were fine).

Same device as the 702B, but now all the pins are enabled, so it gets WonderWheel integration, and a data feed from the bike.

Thanks - great. Have just ordered one.

The speed on the home display - is it GPS derived, or just from the bike's canbus?

I'm going to say Canbus, but I've not been out on it yet. I exect it'll just mirror the TfT

Does the wizzy wheel integrate with zooming in and out of the map/navigation screen?

At the risk of sounding like I’m just touting for business if anyone is considering buying one my discount gets you a decent chunk off, yes I get a little back from them but it’s a decent discount.

Code is: THESTAMMERINGBIKER

I won’t be offended or sulk if you don’t use it obviously 🤣

There was a discount code on their site, 50 dollars off
