Well, as luck would have it, I tried pairing it to my mates Carpuride and it worked!
I'm just hoping it'll work with this one once it gets here.
I assume an update cured the problem
If it's the BMW version and you have the Nav Prep.......it will lock in with the key....the same way your BMW Nav would.
It's a bit like having a navigator on there. Pretty secure from a casual theft but if someone wants it then to get it off they will have to damage it and the sat nav prep. In Europe I don't worry about it outside major cities. In the UK I decide on the location whether to take it off during stops etc.Thanks I do have that
Casual thief will not take it off. But you could brake it off with enough force. Takes less than 10 seconds to un mount with the key. Kind of no brainer.
Much better fitment than the previous model
And I actually prefer the bike "dash" to the Chigee.

Maybe it’s an update to mine but my screens are nothing like that. My navigation screen is full size there’s me music controls at the bottom.

The controls are "normally" down the side in Android Auto as well..
If you go into settings in the Android Auto section of your phone and enable "screen widgets" it will put the task bar at the bottom with audio controls.

This isn’t the case for all Android devices sadly, I have one as a test device and I cannot get the controls down the side except if I connect it to my car with a widescreen display then the controls appear down the side, it’s very annoying
