Carpuride W702 / iOS 26 - GPS wandering

Since installing iOS 26, I've had terrible GPS/location wandering in Gaia / Google Maps / Apple Maps. The location often freezes for 5 or more minutes, whilst your heading continues to rotate the map. Eventually it'll catch up and track well for a few minutes before failing again.

Not had this problem in my car (Kia).

I think Wi-Fi enabled Carplay units have to have GPS in them, so I'm suspecting there's a problem with the GPS or GPS data from the Carpuride to phone. The internet says there's a setting you can switch off under Location in iOS called "Vehicle GPS", but I can't find this.

Anyway, I've installed the latest update (version 22.0.11.0.0.0.1.2) from Carpuride this morning in the hope that the problem will be cured.

Anybody else had this issue / fixed it / found out how to disable the Carplay GPS?

There is zero GPS functionality in the Carpuride/Chigee units. It is just a mirror.
The unit sets up its own wifi connection to the phone.
Cant help with the Apple side of things.

Yup, been happening in my car as well. Googled it and it is a known issue, hopefully apple will fix with an update.
